Rollins is very special to me in many ways. One month after my relocation to Florida, I started my employment with the Upward Bound office in September 1980. Over the 30 years, I worked in various offices, including the provost's office, the Hamilton Holt School, student affairs, and now TJ's. I experienced two marriages and the birth of my youngest daughter during this time. My three daughters are all Rollins graduates, the youngest got her master's in human resources just two years ago. Rollins holds great memories, but the closeness of the community is most valued. I feel priviledged to be sharing in the 125th Anniversary.

Rollins was a great place to go to college. I have so many fond memories of the campus from Fox Day to being married in the Chapel. Sitting in class with Dr. Levis challenged me, but I see I have his high expectations for my students now. The faculty were always interested in seeing the students succeed. Being president of the student government, I loved seeing the workings of the school and interacting with the great students of Rollins. That is what I remember most, so many students with such varied pasts. I learned so much from them outside the classroom as much as I learned in the classroom. We worked hard to see that all students were respected and appreciated. The event I loved more than any was the Lip Sync contest. By its 4th year (my senior year) about three fourths of the school was there in the gym watching. It was such an exciting night! Rollins is a great school and I always recommend it to my students for their college choice.
