The Friends of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum Present“Fun, Fashion & Fantasy” Wearable Art by Ruth Funk
Winter Park, FL — The Friends’ of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum are having some fun this fall. While the Museum’s facilities at Rollins College are being expanded and renovated, the Friends of the Cornell are presenting “Fun, Fashion, & Fantasy,” a luncheon fashion show, on Wednesday, October 13, at 11:30 a.m., at Leu Gardens in Orlando. The show features the handcrafted wearable art of Ruth Funk, a nationally known textile artist who uses innovative techniques to create stunning jackets and coats from antique and exotic materials. Funk has exhibited her work throughout the U.S. to critical acclaim. “Fun, Fashion & Fantasy,” a fundraiser for the Cornell Museum, includes a wine reception and gourmet lunch, followed by the fashion show and the chance to win door prizes.
