Rollins Welcomes Renowned Author Derek Walcott to Winter With the Writers

What: The 69th season of Winter With the Writers, A Festival of the Literary Arts continues on Thursday, Feb. 5 with Nobel Prize recipient Derek Walcott.  He has published eleven books of poetry and five books of plays including award-winning play Dream on Monkey Mountain. Walcott has won the Guinness Award for Poetry, a Royal Society of Literature Award, the Cholmondeley Prize, the New Statesman's Jock Campbell Award, the Welsh Arts Council International Writers Prize, and the Queen's Medal for Poetry.

Background: Winter With the Writers brings distinguished writers to campus to share their work and expertise with students and the community four consecutive Thursdays beginning the last week in January.
