Learn more about Rollins College federally funded TRiO program Upward Bound, which helps low-income secondary students become the first in their families to earn a college degree.
Rollins College directs one Federally funded TRiO program as part of its mission to serve the educational needs of Central Florida's diverse community. The Upward Bound Program works with low-income secondary school students who dare to dream of being the first in their families to earn a college degree.
It is with sincere regret that as of August 31, 2016 the Rollins College Talent Search Program will end due to discontinued federal funding. Programs like Talent Search are funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of the TRIO Programs and authorized by Congress through the Higher Education Act. These programs are required to participate in a grant application process every five years and unfortunately we were notified that our grant application for continued funding was denied.
Over the last 25 years we have shared in the commitment to guide low-income, first generation students as they realize their dream of getting a college degree. This news has been hard for us here at Rollins College and will be a loss for the entire Central Florida community. Please use the following college readiness resources we have provided for you in the link below.
Thank you so much for your commitment and dedication.
