I want to unleash the potential for entrepreneurship for women in Iraq.
Dr. Amel Al-Charaakh, visiting professor
In partnership with Tupperware and the U.S. State Department, Rollins is hosting a visiting, female professor Dr. Amel Al-Charaakh from the University of Bagdad’s College of Science for Women for one year. The premise of the program is to leverage the power of women through education in order to foster entrepreneurship and spur economic growth and stability in Iraq. The program follows a business model of "learn and return" allowing Dr. Chraakh to spend the spring and fall terms immersed in curricular and co-curricular experiential learning at Rollins. During the summer the visiting scholar will participate in an externship at Tupperware before returning to Iraq to teach what she has learned.
