Rollins College is well into its second century of innovative education, and we are pleased to add a yet another chapter of intellectual engagement to that long history. We began the 2008-2009 academic year by launching the Winter Park Institute with its mission of bringing top-echelon scholars to our community. The scope and variety of thought leaders the Institute has featured is impressive, and we promise to continue our engaging programming for the future. The prospects are truly exhilarating.
Our commitment through the Winter Park Institute is threefold: 1) to foster intellectual dialogue between our resident scholars and Rollins faculty and students, 2) to provide opportunities for scholars to share with the community beyond Rollins, and 3) to promote an atmosphere for scholars to exchange ideas with each other. Such high-level conversations will serve to invigorate the intellectual exploration already a vital part of the Rollins community.
We continue to look with great anticipation toward bringing new scholars and new ideas into our shared community through the activities of the Winter Park Institute. Rollins College is honored to commit to such a worthwhile purpose and proud to continue its heritage of enlightened conversations in the academy.
