Two students in Rollins’ master of public health (MPH) program recently participated in the American Public Health Association (APHA) conference, the largest national event in public health.
Held November 12-15, 2023, in Atlanta, the APHA conference and expo allowed Tars to showcase their projects, delve into potential avenues for public health research and employment, explore future prospects, and expand their professional networks.
Mira Lines ’20 ’23MPH effectively represented her capstone project, titled Urbanicity as an Indicator of Adolescent Vaccination Uptake in the United States, through a poster presentation. Additionally, Rollins alum and now professor Raheleh Mohammadi ’20MPH presented her research titled An Assessment of Social Vulnerability Index to Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever) in Arizona Counties.
These contributions underscore the caliber of projects and research fostered by Rollins’ MPH program as well as the significant national-level opportunities the College’s program affords to students, reinforcing our reputation as a hub for excellence in public health education and research.
