Sardy Named 2024 President of the Academy of Economics and Finance

Business professor Marc Sardy has been selected for a one-year appointment as president of the Academy of Economics and Finance.

Started in 1963, the Academy of Economics and Finance (AEF) consists of academic professionals dedicated to teaching and research in the areas of economics and finance. Business professor Marc Sardy has been named president of the nonprofit organization, which organizes an annual AEF Conference every February to provide an opportunity for attendees to showcase their research, engage with fellow faculty, and learn about new trends in the world of economics and finance.

With his teaching experience on courses related to international business and finance, his contributions to scholarly journals and books, and his extensive experience as an international strategy consultant, Sardy will bring a unique expertise to the organization. The AEF also sponsors three peer-reviewed journals—Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Economics and Finance Education, and the Academy of Economics and Finance Journal—and supports faculty development through its teacher training program.
