Rollins’ boutique hotel once again takes top honors as one of the best hotels in Florida.

The Alfond Inn at Rollins, which just celebrated its five-year anniversary, was recently named the No. 2 hotel in Florida by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, with an overall score of 97.35. This is the fourth year in a row that The Alfond Inn has ranked among the top two best hotels in Florida.

Owned by Rollins College, The Alfond Inn is distinguished by its philanthropic mission, directing all of its net operating income to the Alfond Scholars ProgramCondé Nast Traveler notes this along with its location in downtown Winter Park and significant and growing collection of modern art as unique draws of the boutique hotel. The Alfond Inn is the only hotel in the United States that serves as a formal extension of an art museum, exhibiting a rotating collection of 350-plus artworks from the College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum and Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art.

The Alfond Inn was also just named Central Florida’s Best Wedding Venue by the Orlando Sentinel’s Best Bets awards for the second year in a row. From the light-filled domed conservatory and the Park Avenue ballroom to a private dining room and an alfresco wedding on the courtyard lawn, the hotel can readily accommodate both intimate nuptials and large weddings. The Alfond’s policy of holding just one wedding at a time guarantees exceptional service and attention to detail.

Additionally, the Orlando Business Journal named the hotel the Best Local Hotel for Meetings and the Best Local Place for Weddings. The Alfond Inn has become the wedding choice for couples seeking independent boutique hotels with a strong sense of locale, culture, and a social conscience.

“We are honored once again to be recognized nationally by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler and here at home by the readers of the Orlando Sentinel and the Orlando Business Journal,” says Jesse Martinez, general manager of The Alfond Inn. “The hotel is a unique property with an artistic and philanthropic focus at its core. Each of these awards shine a bright light on our remarkable and deserving team, who go above and beyond in delivering outstanding service every single day.”
