Self-guided Mister Rogers Walking Tour (all weekend)

To honor beloved alumnus, Fred Rogers '51 '74H, and the milestone of his 50 years on television, take part in our Mister Rogers Walking Tour during Family Weekend. You’ll see many special tributes, including experiencing the stunning 7- foot tall permanent sculpture, A Beautiful Day for a Neighbor created by British artist Paul Day. Walking tour maps are included in your welcome bag, and in Guidebook. Two Special Screenings of the Florida Road Trip – Winter Park episode

Join us for a Rollins Family Weekend special viewing of Florida Road Trip, a WUCF produced television series that airs on PBS stations across Florida and explores the history, culture, and quirks that make Florida unique. This new (2024) episode features Winter Park, and you'll learn how Rollins became the first college the state, our history, more about a prominent Rollins graduate, and insights about Winter Park’s history. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and have a Q&A with members of the Florida Road Trip team.

Interfaith Labyrinth Walk

Noon – 12:45 p.m.
Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice used by many faiths for spiritual centering, contemplation, and prayer. Experience the labyrinth where you can quiet your mind, and focus on a contemplative question.
Location: Located on the backside of Knowles Memorial Chapel facing Chase Avenue.

Join a special Family Weekend tour of the Rollins Museum of Art (RMA)

1 – 2 p.m.
Whether you are a long-time art enthusiast or it’s your first time visiting the RMA, you’ll enjoy exploring the fall season exhibits. The Rollins Museum of Art is the only teaching museum in the greater Orlando area, and as part of the staff-led tour, you’ll explore a selection of recent acquisitions and works from the museum’s current exhibitions, including an exhibition designed for first-year students.

Variations on a Theme: Traditions - A Rollins Improv Players (RIP) Show

Come relax and laugh during this Friday afternoon Rollins Improv Players (RIP) show. Celebrating its 21st year, RIP is a theatrical improvisation student troupe performing a variety of long form and short form shows. RIP creates improvisational theatre that expresses challenging and provocative subject matter and represents the dramatic and comedic aspects of student life and beyond!

Tours of the Annie Russell Theatre and the Tiedtke Theatre & Dance Centre

Tours begin at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.
Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic Annie Russell Theatre and the stunning Tiedtke Theatre & Dance Centre. You'll hear our ghost stories, view the in-progress set for Pride and Prejudice, and explore classroom and performance facilities that allow for world-class hands-on learning.

Rollins has made a commitment to developing a robust career and life planning program. The Center for Career & Life Planning is leading this initiative alongside campus partners to expand current services and programs that will integrate career planning resources into students’ overall Rollins Gateway experience. Our goals are to help students explore and clarify potential career pathways through experiential opportunities and to increase the professional marketability of our students. Family Shabbat hosted by Rollins Hillel

Rollins Hillel invites all for a Shabbat dinner with student-led traditional blessings and songs. Dinner is a $18 per person donation (children and Rollins students free of charge) and is open to everyone. Payment follow-up to be sent via email to those who register.

Habitat for Humanity Service Event with CLCE and JUMP - Event now Closed

Join the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) and Join Us in Making Progress (JUMP) to spend part of your morning volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. Tour and Explore the Rollins Greenhouse & Campus Urban Farm

Explore the Rollins Greenhouse located atop the Bush Science Center! Experience a self-guided tour taking you through three zones and temperatures differences to witness over 800 varying plants from all over the world. These are plants that are used as part of hands-on teaching laboratories in courses across the College. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the campus urban farm and brand-new pollinator garden. You'll see up close how we engage students in sustainable food production and distribution, environmental education, and how we aim to honor wellbeing through greenspaces.

We’ll review student feedback from recent surveys to understand their vision of success and the life skills they consider essential. Women's Volleyball vs. University of Tampa

This conference game is the Volleyball team's annual Colorful and Courageous game to support childhood cancer patients, and the team collects crayons and coloring books at the game for kids who are hospitalized. First 50 fans will also get custom tie-dyed t-shirts courtesy of the team!

Fraternity & Sorority Life invites families and students to engage in some friendly competition at the second annual Family Weekend Corn Hole Tournament!
