About Reaffirmation

Reaffirmation of regional accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requires completion of a Compliance Certification Report (CCR), the development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), off- and on-site peer reviews, as well as a Commission review.

The Reaffirmation Process

Rollins College's institutional accreditation was reaffirmed in 2015 with no recommendations for improvement. The College's next decennial reaffirmation of institutional accreditation review will take place in 2025 and will include the following.

  • Preparation of a CCR, demonstrating the College's judgment of the extent to which it complies with each of the 75 SASCOC Core Requirements and Standards, outlined in the 2018 Principles of Accreditation.
  • Review of the CCR by an off-site SACSCOC committee of peers.
  • The development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) aligned to the College's strategic plans and intended to enhance student learning.
  • Review of the CCR and QEP proposal by an on-site SACSCOC committee of peers. This committee provides a written report intended to help Rollins improve its programs and refine its QEP, and aids the Commission in making its decision to reaffirm accreditation.

Fifth-Year Interim Report

An abbreviated version of the SACSCOC Compliance Certification Report (CCR) and a report of assessed outcomes for the College's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) were submitted as part of the College's FYIR, submitted to the Commission in March 2021.

The Fifth-Year Interim Report was comprised of the following five parts.

  • Part I: Signatures Attesting to Integrity
  • Part II: Abbreviated Institutional Summary Form Prepared for Commission Review
  • Part III: Fifth-Year Compliance Certification
  • Part IV: Additional Report (not applicable to Rollins).
  • Part V: Impact Report of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

The College's FYIR was accepted in July 2021 with one request for additional information regarding Standard 13.6 Federal and State Responsibilities. The College's QEP Impact Report was accepted as adequate. In April 2022, Rollins submitted a Referral Report for Standard 13.6 to the Commission. On June 30, 2022, the Commission accepted the College's response with no additional reporting required.
