VA Education Benefits

When you're exploring schools and benefit options available to you, the first step is contacting an Education Service Officer (ESO) at 888.442.4551. They will be able to explain options, answer questions, and confirm eligibility of benefits.
Chapter 33
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® and Yellow Ribbon program, or Chapter 33, helps those who served on active duty after September 10, 2001, and they meet the eligibility criteria. Yellow Ribbon is a provision of the GI Bill that can help pay for higher out-of-state, private school, foreign school, or graduate school tuition and fees. Chapter 35
Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA), or Chapter 35, are available to dependents of a Veteran or service member who has died, is captured or missing, or has a service-connected disability. Chapter 31
Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program, or Chapter 31, is for Veterans or services members with a service-connected disability that impacts their ability to work. VR&E, formerly Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment, offers five support-and-services tracks to help Veterans get education or training, find and keep a job, and live as independently as possible. Chapter 30
The Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (MGIB-AD), or Chapter 30, can help active duty military who have served at least two years on active duty. Visit va.gov/education for more information and to determine if you qualify.
Chapter 1606
The Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR), or Chapter 1606, offers up to 36 months of benefits for eligible Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard Reserve, Army National Guard, or Air National Guard. Visit va.gov/education to learn more.
