Walking Wednesdays

Wednesdays were made for walking. What better way to fight the mid-week blues than by taking a leisurely stroll around our beautiful campus. We currently have a group that meet every Wednesday at 12:30PM in front of the Rollins Child Development Center located on the corner of Holt Avenue and New York Avenue. We hope to see you there!

Rollins has such a beautiful campus.  Why not take time to enjoy it?

Take a Walk!

Rollins has such a beautiful campus.  Why not take time to enjoy it?

Walking Wednesdays are designed to help you experience the positive effects of walking. Did you know that…

  • A lunchtime walk can increase work productivity and has been shown to increase creativity
  • Walking  can reduce the risk of heart disease, some cancers and bone disorders like osteoporosis and osteoarthritis
  • Walking lifts your mood, improves memory and reduces stress
  • Taking regular walks can increase your lung capacity, lower blood pressure and improve circulation

The Rollins Wellbeing team encourages all members of the community to get involved, some suggestions of how can be found below:

  • Socialize with your co-workers by walking together on Wednesdays
  • Send us a picture to rollinswellbeing@rollins.edu of your walk to encourage others on social media
  • Tack us on instagrm using the hashtag: #rollinswellbeing
  • If you have a walking group and want people to join, let us know. We will help spread the word.
