College Factual has ranked Rollins No. 41 in the country and No. 1 in Florida on its 2019 list of the nation’s best communications programs.

College Factual recently ranked Rollins’ communications program No. 41 out of 524 schools nationwide, which lands the College in the top 10 percent of all communications programs in the country.

Rollins’ communications program has also been ranked No. 1 out of 15 colleges in Florida, an honor the College has earned for the second consecutive year.

“The ranking of our program as the best statewide and in the top 10 percent nationally for two consecutive years is an accolade that we will always strive to sustain and upgrade,” says Hesham Mesbah, department chair and associate professor of communications. “Our classes are designed to improve the communication skills of our students, provide them hands-on experience, and broaden their understanding of both their local and global environments.”

College Factual—a leading source of college data analytics and insights—covers more than 2,500 colleges and universities and 350 college majors for students in more than 160 countries. The organization also maintains a strong focus on student outcomes and reports that Rollins students who earn communications and media studies degrees secure above-average earnings immediately following graduation and throughout their careers.

“Being on the front lines of major brands’ communication strategies means being both an artist and a scientist, especially in health-care PR,” says Kara Russell ’15, a Rollins communications major who is now senior manager for W2O Group, one of the country’s top health-care marketing and communications firms. “My Rollins communications education prepared me to be both. Rollins taught me skills that transcend industry and allow me to strengthen the universal desire for connection.”
