Steinway Artist Dr. Byeol Kim has captivated audiences worldwide with her "ingeniously colorful imagination" [Nowakowska] and "operatic" [Cleveland Classical] piano virtuosity. As a celebrated laureate of prestigious international competitions like the Cleveland and Paderewski, Kim's unparalleled stage presence and championing of lesser-known works have earned her consistent recognition as the audience's favorite.
This artistic vision has propelled Kim onto major stages across North America, Europe, and Asia, where she maintains an active career as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra and West Virginia Symphony. Beyond the stage, Kim is an adventurous multimedia artist, creating innovative interdisciplinary projects and recordings that have earned honors like the Music Academy of the West's Digital Challenge Award.
As a sought-after pedagogue and guest artist, Dr. Kim has appeared at international festivals, including the Amalfi Coast Festival of Music and the Texas State International Piano Festival, as well as prestigious universities across the globe.
In the 2024-25 season, Dr. Kim embarks on an ambitious tour across the United States, performing five different piano concertos as a soloist.

Community Engagement
Deeply committed to community engagement, she serves as the founding director of the Rollins Summer Piano Academy and director of the Rollins Community School of Music, where she works to make music education accessible to all. Her dedication to nurturing young talent extends to her role as chair of the district CFMTA Concerto Competition.
