529 Plans

Rollins College uses Backpack to receive 529 plan payments electronically. The platform is free to use and fully integrated with our Student Account Services Office, allowing us to be notified as soon as your transfer is initiated.

When payments are submitted through a 529 plan’s website, funds are often sent as paper checks to the College. Paper checks can lead to delays, processing errors, and additional manual handling for both families and university staff. In fact, studies show that nearly one in three families using paper checks for tuition will experience a payment issue at some point.

To ensure a faster and more reliable process, we strongly encourage all families using a 529 plan to submit payments electronically through Backpack.
