Donate Artwork
The donations of many generous and forward-thinking individuals and families form a large portion—over seventy-five percent—of the Rollins Museum of Art’s collection. We are grateful for this longstanding philanthropic custom at Rollins and we welcome others who would like to carry on this tradition.
If you are an artist, collector, or dealer with tangible personal property of artwork, books, jewelry, antiques, or similar items, please follow the guidelines below in considering donating a work of art to the Museum. Without receipt of a proposal by email or mail and approval of the curatorial department, deliveries of artwork in person or by mail or shipper WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Proposals by email
Provide a Letter of Intent for your gift which contains the following:
- your full contact information including your name, address, telephone number, fax (if necessary), and email address;
- the artist’s name, the full title of the work, edition info (for prints), medium, and dimensions of the work;
- whether this is a future gift (such as by bequest);
- any information on the artist (biography, curriculum vitae, artist’s statement), as well as any information on purchase and past ownership (provenance);
- digital images of the work of art (jpeg, tiff, etc.) of at least 72 dpi resolution.
